A SOLICITOR who joined Salisbury firm Whitehead Vizard less than three years ago has been made a salaried partner.

Caroline Parsons (27), who specialises in residential conveyancing, took her law degree at Southampton Institute and gained a distinction on the legal practice course at College of Law, Guildford.

She undertook her training contract with a firm in Winchester.

Miss Parsons, who lives in the New Forest, said she was delighted with the appointment and was enjoying working and developing her career in Salisbury.

Trudy Austreng, partner specialising in property, said Miss Parsons was the first of Whitehead Vizard's new recruits to come to partnership.

"Caroline joined us in July 2000 and immediately became a great asset to the firm," said Mrs Austreng, one of the firm's seven equity partners.

"She is extremely hard working and an excellent property lawyer.

"Most of all, however, she has a lovely personality and is very much a team player.

"We are very pleased to announce her as a partner here at the very modest age of 27.

"This is a signal to her that she will become an equity partner."

Miss Parsons is taking the lead in the firm's bid for Lexcel accreditation a benchmark of quality service.
