SEEND'S rector, the Rev Jamie Allen, will host children's entertainments in the vicarage garden as part of Seend Open Gardens weekend at the end of June.
Mr Allen, nationally famous after the success of A Country Parish on BBC2, is organising a children's obstacle course, treasure hunt and basketball competition on Saturday and Sunday June 28 and 29.
Altogether 13 gardens and a Georgian stable yard are open to the public over the weekend to raise money for Seend Church, which will be dressed for the occasion.
There is free parking on the Lye Field and the sales booth for entry programmes, at £4 each, will be in the High Street by the Lye Field.
An additional attraction will be an exhibition of wildlife paintings by renowned artist Pam Mullings in the Irene Usher Pavilion, Rusty Lane, on both days from 10am to 5pm.
