RECORDS were broken at Nomansland as the home side recorded an emphatic win over Old Basing II.
Winning the toss Nomansland had no hesitation in batting on what looked a perfect strip.
Kev Hayward took an early liking to the attack cracking six fours in a brisk 30 before smacking a full toss to short cover in the ninth over.
Chris Walton then joined skipper Darren Grayer in a massive stand of 187 that spanned 25 overs. Both found the boundary regularly with Walton hitting three sixes and seven fours before falling for 76.
Grayer, by this time in sparkling form, had registered his first league century. He was then joined by the Lee Palmer who showed no mercy on the tiring attack as he powered his way to 59 not out in just eight overs.
Grayer was out to the final ball of the innings for a club record score of 157 which included 28 fours and a six.
The final total of 348 was also a club best.
Old Basing faced up well to their chase with skipper John Huntingdon leading the way with 67. But at 116-2 after 27 overs, the visitors collapsed to 135-8 mainly due to four wickets in two overs from Adrian Franks.
The tail wagged via Stronagh, 31, and Ol-corn, 13 not out, as the innings closed at 185-9. Adrian Franks finished with 4-51, brother Jason picked up 2-22 and Kev Hayward took 2-23.
