With respect to those who oppose the safety mast at Great Bedwyn station one thing appears to have been forgotten the improved safety factor to the public at large.
One of the remarks I have heard from the protesters is "it will spoil our view".
The law is very clear on this point, you are entitled to light, but never a view.
The transmitter mast at Chesbury Wood can best be described as a terrible sore thumb overlooking Great Bedwyn but it is there with the blessing of the parish council .
Would anyone who lost a very much loved one in instances such as Ladbrook Grove or elsewhere on the railway because of bad communications support this protest?
Those who are left behind will have to relive this accident every day of their lives, and that is the reason why I will never support this protest.
