CHILDREN from a Park South school have been on a visit to a cinema, courtesy of a firm of opticians.
Haine and Smith in Cavendish Square donated 20 cinema tickets to pupils at Nyland Special School as part of what the firm describes as its commitment to local good causes.
It is also a way of thanking local people for their trade during almost three decades.
Tom Crampton, practice manager, explained: "We have always enjoyed backing local groups and initiatives.
"We believe passionately in investing back into the community who have supported us over the last 28 years."
Paul Summers, head teacher at Nyland, said: "We are very grateful for the kind offer of complimentary cinema tickets."
The children have been able to choose what film they wish to see and when they use the tickets.
