THE HIGH SHERIFF of Wiltshire has congratulated students for facing up to some tough issues.
Art students at St Laurence School, Bradford on Avon, designed and built Hazard Alley for the Junior Good Citizen Scheme, part of the Crimebeat project run by Wiltshire Police.
During half term they built the life-like set, complete with graffiti, to raise awareness of personal safety and criminal damage. High Sheriff, Sir David Newbigging, went to the school on Friday to present the students with a grant from Crimebeat for the Hazard Alley project.
The alley will be part of a Junior Good Citizen event at Lackham College in July.
Students from across west Wiltshire will be invited to see how they cope with a series of dangerous scenarios, how to make the right decisions for their own personal safety and how to cope with emergencies.
