THE trial of Bradford on Avon businessman Randle Williams has been postponed until next week.

Williams, 43, who is charged with murdering his wife Natalie last April was due to stand trial at Bristol Crown Court on Wednesday.

Earlier this week it was moved back to Monday for legal reasons.

The body of Mrs Williams was found in the River Avon on April 24, 2002 a few yards away from the Greenland Mills home she shared with her husband.

The discovery came just two days after the 33-year-old was reported missing by Williams sparking a massive police search of the west Wiltshire town.

The beauty consultant, who worked at Bath department store Jollys, died from a combination of drowning and strangulation.

Williams denies murdering his wife. The trial is expected to last between four and six weeks.
