A COMMUNITY centre in Trowbridge is holding a fundraising ladies night after its sound equipment was stolen.
After a break-in at the Longfield Community Centre two weeks ago two CD players and a mixer were found to be missing.
Not to be beaten local people have been using their own music equipment to hold events.
Acting manager Ann Robson said: "It is very sad that the CD players were stolen as all the people who use the centre relied on this equipment."
Mrs Robson and others involved in the running of the centre are trying to make people more aware of what is available on their doorstep.
The centre can be hired out for discos, parties and even training sessions and a recent under 12s disco raised £70.
Mrs Robson said: "We hope the public will support us."
Tickets for the ladies night, which starts at 7.30pm, are available from 2 Blue in Trowbridge for £5 or on the door for £10.
For more information about the centre or any events being held there call (01225) 774894.
