"All for one and one for all", was the cry as three Trowbridge men joined the French Chapter of Musketeers.
Wessex Chamber of Commerce chief executive Mike Williams , who was invited to join the chapter last year, took with him two more nominees at the weekend to be invested.
Town clerk Douglas Ross and solicitor John Elliott were invited to Le Havre to join La Compagnie Des Mousquetaires d'Armagnac.
Mr Williams said: "Initially it was an opportunity to meet up with other chamber members to promote business links. Now with the invitation for others from the town to join the chapter it's ideal to promote trade."
Mr Ross said: "We were looked after very well. I am always keen to get more people and business into Trowbridge and a link such as this promotes it in a fun way."
Mr Elliott said: "I learned about the culture and the economy. I hope we can put together some visits for those in France to visit Trowbridge."
Now plans are in hand for a chapter of musketeers to be formed in Wiltshire to extend the business links with Le Havre.
