A SERIES of events are taking place throughout the month organised by Swin-don's Community Heritage.

The Think Art festival at Swindon Museum of Art is hosting a talk by Sasha Ward on architectural glass today.

Next Friday Timothy Hy-man will be talking about the inspiration behind his latest work The Stripping of London, a new acquisition for the Swindon Collection of Modern British Art.

Talks begin at 7.30pm, tickets priced £4 and booking is advised.

Lydiard House has a craft carousel on Saturday June 14 for children aged five to 11.

Activities such as mask making, collage and printing will be on offer for £2.50 per child.

Booking is required for the two sessions, 10am to noon or 1 to 3pm.

Lydiard House is also the base for a picture postcard competition running through the summer from June 21.

Simply collect a blank postcard from the house, create your own design featuring any aspect of the house or park and send it to the Mayor of Swindon.

All ages are welcome to enter, with an exhibition taking place in the autumn.

The winning entry will be made into a real postcard in support of the Lydiard House Project.
