YOUNGTERS at Leapfrog Day nursery dressed up as mermaids and pirates for a fun day with an educational message.
The 15-strong group of children, at the nursery, in Highdown Way, St Andrew's Ridge spent the day learning about the importance of conserving the world's oceans.
Manager of the nursery, Pauline Young, said: "The children certainly had a great time dressing up and hearing stories about the sea."
It is World Ocean's Day, tomorrow June 7.
