FARMOR'S School in Fair-ford has won national recognition for its commitment to training teachers.
The Teacher Training Agency has awarded Farmor's the status of a Part-nership Promotion School for the way it trains secondary school teachers.
Currently the school has a policy of taking five trainee teachers each year.
Deputy head Mike Francis said: "It's a new initiative to recognise excellence in teacher training and we are proud to be one of the first schools to be awarded this."
