TEAMS from Shaw FC, Ferndale Rodbourne, Wootton Bassett, Abbeymead and Swindon all came away victorious from AFC Corsham's six-a-side tournament at the weekend.
And, in the under 14 girls final, their was an all-Swindon affair as Town Ladies A and B came face to face.
Swindon Town Ladies A came away with the winners' medals in the end.
Elsewhere, local sides were in the thick of the action in this tournament which attracted 318 teams from across the county.
In the Under Seven competition, Ferndale Rodbourne Tigers won the highest achievers award for Group B, while Shaw FC won the Group F contest.
AFC Corsham won the Under Seven Sportsmanship award.
Wootton Bassett A came away winners of the highest achievers award in Group E, with AFC Corsham Cougars winning Group A, Calne Town Youth claiming the Group C prize and Melksham Park Black taking the honours in Group F.
Abbeymead Rovers were winners of the Under 10 Paul Frankcom Shield, beating Trowbridge Town, while in the Under 11s Trowbridge Wanderers also missed out, losing against FC Chippenham.
But a Trowbridge side claimed victory in the Under 12 section as they beat Newport Corinthians.
Swindon Town Ladies Under 12s just missed out on another victory in the Margaret Roussell Shield as they lost against Frome Town Ladies.
Organiser of the two-day tournament Peter Fellows dubbed it as a great success.
He said: "AFC Corsham would like to pass on their thanks and appreciation to all the referees, medics from the Joint Support Unit Corsham, to the sponsors, local authorities and local residents and volunteers for their support.
"The club would also like to thank all the competitors and supporters who, through their competitive spirit and sportsmanship, added to the quality of the event."
