YOUNG Daniel Laing easily won the Ivy House lakes AC junior match fished on Saturday with a nice bag of carp weighing in at 13-4-0.

Ben Buckwell was second, and third was Greg Taylor.

In the club's senior match fished on Sunday, Mark Ponting came out on top in a close-run affair taking 35-12-0 from peg 24, just beating Gary Donachie.

Robert Keeping, at the next peg, took 32-1-0 for third and Mick Lansdown was fourth with 20lb.

Section A was winner Mick Lansdown with Graham Rose winning the B section.

The clubs aggregate after eight matches is as follows:

Result: 1 Rob Keeping 271pts; 2 Mick Lansdown 256; 3 Graham Rose 221; 4 Larry Laing 197.

In the BCA club match held at the Greenhill Fishery near Wootton Bassett, Micky Wright used chopped worm and worm on the hook to win with his 10-14-0 weight, made up mainly of carp.

Second was Vince Harvey, who had tench in his 10-11-0 catch, and there was a tie between Cliff Brown and Fred Allan both with weights of 6-8-0 in third.

Sun June 29: Highworth AC Tench Cup (this match was to be held on June 22 at Buscot Park but now will be fished at Roughgrounds).

The match scheduled for the 29th will be fished at a later date in the season.
