A CHARITY which helps disabled people in Swindon find work has set up a job club to give them more support.
The club is intended to provide practical advice for disabled people on how to apply for work and how to prepare for interviews.
John Green, co-ordinator for the charity Working for Opportunities, said: "It's all about self help. We want people to encourage and motivate each other."
The job club is based at the Shaftesbury Centre. It runs every Friday.
Working for Opportunities has more than 130 disabled people from Swindon on its register, and they work alongside 50 local companies, such as Zurich Financial Services and Nationwide.
The club will give people the chance to search for jobs, fill in applications, write CVs, and brush up on interview techniques.
Swindon Council's Community Based and Economic Initiative Training Grant scheme has provided £9,000 in funding for the job club.
