THE quartet of Kevin Arthur, Ken Clark, Alaistair Clark and Roger Searle scored a bumper 120 points to ensure their Pewsey Radiovision team picked up the inaugural Salisbury Journal/High Post Corporate Golf Challenge trophy on Thursday.
More than 100 golfers took part in Thursday's event at High Post which helped raise £2,600 for the Riding for the Disabled Association (Wilton Branch).
After the action on the course had been completed, attention turned to the club house where Hampshire and former England cricketer Robin Smith conducted an auction in aid of the charity.
One of the tournament's organisers, John Peters, said: "I thought the day ran very well. The course was in great condition and the total raised for the charity was a very pleasing result.
"It was really great that Robin Smith was able to attend the prizegiving and do the auction."
As well as lifting the trophy, the triumphant quartet will now take part in the regional final of The Times/JP Morgan Golf Challenge later this year.
Just nine points adrift of them on the day were the Quiller Holdings team, while the W. Carter & Son quartet secured third place on 109 points.
Roger Searle's 64 proved the day's lowest gross score and the golfer also won of the longest drive contests.
Organisers have already confirmed a follow-up event will take place on June 3, 2004.
