CORSHAM town centre is sprucing itself up for the summer with a new stained glass window and 100 hanging flower baskets.
The stained glassed window was unveiled in the town hall on the 50th anniversary of the queen's coronation.
Meanwhile, floral hanging baskets have been put up along the High Street, Pickwick Road, Newlands Road and the precinct.
The window was unveiled by Wiltshire's Lord Lieutenant, Sir Maurice Johnston, and town council chairman Jock Fraser.
It depicts various historic structures in Corsham in a modern design. The window was designed by Pamela Stanghon, a student at City of Bath College.
The councillors choose the design from a shortlist of three because it represented Corsham well and fitted in with the town hall.
Coun Fraser said: "We are delighted to be able to celebrate the queen's golden jubilee in this creative way. The new window will be an attractive addition to one of the most historic buildings in Corsham."
And the attractiveness of the town hall will now match the surrounding streets with their floral displays.
Coun Fraser said the town council hoped the flowers would attract shoppers to the town.
"We are keen to encourage shoppers and visitors to Corsham by making the town centre as attractive as possible," he said.
The floral displays will be complemented by additional litter collection throughout the summer months.
The town council, with the support of local businesses and a contribution from North Wiltshire District Council, will plant and maintain the displays throughout the summer.
