CHIPPENHAM'S promotion hopes took a knock as they went down to a 52 run home defeat in their Stroud and Swindon Premier League Division Two game.
Chasing a modest total of 168 for victory, Chippenham were bowled out for just 115, with several batsmen getting a start but being unable to press on to make a decent score.
From 49 for two at one stage, Chippenham then lost their last eight wickets for just 66 runs.
After the early loss of Ian Merryweather, Mark Hunt (15) and Ollie Bailey (21) batted patiently in a second wicket stand before both fell to McNamara.
Jack Humphrys and Mark Watts also reached double figures, but the major innings came from tail-ender Trevor Lloyd, who made 37 off 46 balls and hit five fours before he was out.
Earlier, the visitors had chosen to bat first and their innings was dominated by Steve Rose, who made 79 off 87 balls and hit five fours and two sixes.
Wiltshire all-rounder Richard Bates was Chippenham's most successful bowler, with figures of three for 48 from 12 overs.
