FOOTBALLING policeman Adam Davey was handed a 42 match ban and fined £20 for violent conduct in an inter force match in April.
The Devizes officer was playing for Wiltshire Police's over 40s veterans 'team against a side from South Wales.
He was one of five players allowed to play for the team, aged between 35 and 40.
Davey was yellow carded twice in the match for heavy late tackles and was sent off.
He described what happened as 'Just one of those things.'
A police spokesman said: "The matter was referred to the relevant sporting disciplinary authorities who have dealt with it."
He added that the police will not be taking any further action.
