AN intrepid group from Bromham is raising money for the children's cancer charity CLIC by riding a tandem bicycle from John O'Groats back to Bromham next month.
Members of the Bromham Wednesday Club are hoping the weather holds for them as they undertake the 600-mile journey, for which they have in training for a number of weeks.
One of the group, Phil Dyke, said: "We did a ride from Land's End to Bromham in August 2001 and raised about £5,500 for CLIC, but this is even more of a challenge. We must be quite mad, but if we can raise money for this very good cause it will be worthwhile."
About 15 members of the group will take part in the ride over a period of five days.
Anyone who wants to sponsor the group can contact Mr Dyke on (01380) 859065 or 07885 796820, or Craig Dalby on (01380) 850236.
