A NEW Co-op store is due to open in Watchfield offering electrical equipment as well as groceries.
The shop is one of Oxford, Swin-don and Gloucester Co-op's Swift Shop style supermarkets.
It is located on Majors Road, on the same site as the Watchfield supermarket.
From June 12, the 2,150 sq ft store will offer a range of fresh and chilled foods, morning goods such as French breads, cakes and pastries and a wide range of general groceries.
It will also offer non-food items such as newspapers, magazines, videos, DVDs and CDs as well as a small range of electrical items.
The newly built store will also include the latest in-store refrigeration, wooden flooring and air conditioning throughout.
Store manager, Michelle Scotford, said: "In early June we will open a new local Co-op store which offer the very latest in convenience retailing.
"This will be a welcome addition to the area with easy parking.
"I'm sure this will be a very popular store with local people."
The shop will open 7am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and on Sun-days between 8am and 10pm.
In April, Co-op unveiled the long awaited store in Brewery Street, Highworth and the organisation has also submitted a planning application for another shop in Taw Hill.
