KOREAN war veteran John Baxter died from natural causes at his home in Warminster, an inquest at Salisbury decided on Tuesday.
The retired colonel, who lived in West Street, had lost the use of his arms and legs following a fall at his home in 1992, but deputy Wiltshire coroner William Bache was told that the 76-year-old had led as full a life as possible.
The former soldier, who had also lost part of a lung when shot in the chest during action in Korea, died at Salisbury Hospital from bronchopneumonia in January.
Mr Bache said he felt any link between his fall at home and his death was "tenuous".
Verdict: Natural causes.
