PUPILS at Heytesbury Primary School are celebrating after getting every single entry into a poetry competition included in a published collection.
For the past two years the pupils have taken part in the annual Young Writers competition, which each year publishes a series of regional collections of poetry, prose or creative writing.
This year, the judges thought every poem they sent was good enough to be included in Wiltshire's collection.
Subject leader at Heytesbury, Carole Zimmerman said: "We did so well last year and managed to get 90 per cent of our entries in I was just stunned that we have done so well this year.
"This sort of project does a great deal for the children's self esteem. For many of them this is the first time they will see their work in print and it's very exciting."
Ten-year-old Daniel Bone received a commendation from the judges for his poem about a table. He said: "I really enjoyed writing it. I had to be careful I had a rhyme in every verse and just about managed it."
