DENTIST Neil MacFarlane told the court how jealous Randle Williams repeatedly quizzed him about his sexual relationship with Natalie.
Married Mr MacFarlane said the murder suspect pushed and threatened him, issued stay-away warnings and lodged allegations of sexual harassment at his Newbury practice.
The dentist started his affair with employee Mrs Williams soon after her marriage to Williams on St Valentine's Day, 1997.
Williams visited the Newbury practice and the home of Mr MacFarlane several times to confront the dentist, even talking with Mr MacFarlane's wife about his suspicions.
The dentist said the threats turned physical on one occasion when Williams pushed him and demanded the affair come to an end.
More allegations were made in the aftermath of a Christmas party in 1998, long after the affair had finished.
Mr MacFarlane said: "He insisted that I was having a relationship with his wife which was not the case and demanded an explanation as to my behaviour.
"It became a very difficult working relationship. There were allegations of sexual harassment which were unfounded."
Mrs Williams resigned from her post in June 1999 when the couple moved away from Newbury to Bradford on Avon but she continued to keep in contact with her former employer, sending two text messages asking to meet up the last one sent just a month before her murder.
The trial continues
