Henry Norridge's dream came true when he met football icon David Beckham. Henry, six, from Coleview, rubbed shoulders with the sporting star thanks to his granddad, John.
John, 54, from Eldene, won a BP Meet David Beckham day, run through BP petrol stations across the country.
He said: "Being a works manager, I do lots of driving. The competition involved texting a code on my mobile phone and I did it almost every day."
He was one of 50 winners selected at random to visit Beckham's home ground, Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester.
John said: "I decided to give the prize to my son, Paul, and grandson, Henry.
"It was quite funny because Paul is an Arsenal supporter."
The lucky pair enjoyed a tour of Old Trafford, along with lunch at the famous in-house restaurant the Red Caf. Best of all, Henry was treated to a training session, also attended by Beckham.
"Henry fell over and started crying. But Beckham came over and magically pulled a chocolate bar from his sleeve. It brought the biggest smile to his face," said John.
Henry said: "David Beckham was cool and made me feel really special. I want to be a footballer just like him."
