A FACTORY famous for its tasty pies is set to get a fresh new filling itself.
Pork Farm Bowyers, in Stallard Street, Trowbridge has invested in a new state of the art oven costing more than £2m.
The oven, measuring 50 metres long, is being shipped over from Australia and will be fitted by crane.
Ken Leary, chief engineer at Bowyers, said: "This is a major investment in the factory and is a reward for our impressive profits.
"The commitment shown is great news to the employees.
"To get the oven inside we will be using the biggest crane ever seen in Trowbridge."
Work begins this weekend when the oven room at the rear of the factory is cleared.
In September a crane will remove the roof and haul the oven in to place.
Bosses expect the oven to be set up and the roof replaced in just one weekend.
