STUDENTS from three west Wiltshire secondary schools are helping shape the future of the county town with their contribution to the ongoing Vision for Trowbridge project.
Work by Year 10 and 12 students from the Claren-don and John of Gaunt Schools and St Augustine's Catholic College, will feature in the consultation phase of the Vision.
Clarendon School head-teacher Colin Kay said: "This has been a voluntary project for the students, broadly working under the notion of citizenship.
"They are really excited about the project as it is very 'real' in its approach and means a lot to them because it is about the future of their town."
Jeffrey Ligo, chief executive of West Wiltshire District Council, which is overseeing the Vision project, visited Clarendon School on Wednesday to hear students' ideas.
One group of students will work on plans for particular sites in the town, a second will design a questionnaire for fellow students to fill in as part of the consultation phase and a third is designing a website for the questionnaire.
