The contrast between two stories in Tuesday's Evening Advertiser could not have been greater.
On the one hand we had a brilliant initiative for reporting drug dealers in an anonymous manner. I lend my full support to this telephone service.
Drugs attack the core of our communities and drug dealers must be punished according to the severity of the crime.
Anything less is unacceptable.
Compare this to the disgraceful sale of magic mushrooms in a Swindon shop.
Even with supposed safeguards to prevent the sale to under 18s, these drugs could still get into the hands of young people.
As the manager of Druglink said, magic mushrooms are very dangerous to people suffering from anxiety or depression.
The Home Office should act to close this loophole in the law immediately.
The only 'shopping' I will be doing concerning drugs is shopping the criminals who deal their evil supplies.
