TROWBRIDGE was awash with young football stars at the weekend as 250 teams battled out for six-a-side honours.
The 8th annual Trowbridge Wanderers tournament saw those from Under 7 to Under 15 level competing over three days at John O'Gaunt School.
Some competitive matches played in a terrific spirit left Wanderers chairman Chris Moore absolutely delighted.
He said: "It was a fantastic event and we were very lucky with the weather.
"As a club we were very happy to have hosted a community-wide tournament for the eighth time.
"There was a tremendous response with teams from Swindon, Salisbury, Bristol and Gloucestershire all taking part.
"It was a very sporting weekend with matches played in a good spirit and there wasn't a single yellow or red card shown throughout.
"I would like to thank everyone who helped make it a success, including the committee members, referees, the managers, the players themselves and the school for the use of the facilities."
