SWINDON police helicopter was scrambled last night, after an intruder armed with a knife was disturbed by the female resident of a house in Goddard Avenue, Old Town.
The intruder was described as about 5ft 10in tall, aged 18-20 years old, with short dark hair. He was wearing jeans and a black top and carried a black bag. He fled down an alley running beside Commonweal School.
Anyone with information about the incident, which took place about 7pm, should call Swindon Police on 01793 528111.
