AFTER sharing a 45 tench catch from Ashton Keynes' Cokes Pit, with boyfriend Hughie White, Sharon Selby turned to fishing the Highworth Ladies match at Roughgrounds and came up trumps again.

At Ashton Keynes, waters she took 24 tench for a cracking 116lb, beating White's 21 tench for 105lb.

In the match, Sharon landed a 12.5 lb carp in a winning 13-12, beating the 8lb of roach taken by Emma Laidler.

Wootton Bassett Ladies made their presence felt in the annual Sonia Hesketh Memorial match at Clattercote Reservoir.

Rita Bell (Evesham) won the event with 25-2, aided by a 6lb carp.

Trish Lewis (Wootton Bassett) was second with 21-10, including an 8-6 carp and teammate Bernadette Titcombe fourth with 16-1-0.

Derek Hillier won the Haydon St Tench Cup held on Telford and Plaums Pit with 5-8.

Meanwhile, Cliff Brown won the latest Greenhill Fishery Open with a mixed bag of 11-14. Second was Paul Lewis (7-9-8) and third was his father Dave (5-12).

Graham Smith easily won the BCA match on the River Cole with a weight of 3-2.
