AN innovative Buy A Brick scheme could help a primary school build an extension for a computer suite.
The Friends of By Brook Valley School, Chippenham, have come up with the fundraising idea, to get people involved in the project.
People can buy a brick for £2 which will go towards the £10,000 still needed.
The Buy A Brick scheme will be launched at the school's family fun day on Saturday at noon.
Parents, pupils and members of the community are invited to pay for a brick for the extension, which will house an ICT suite and a resource centre.
The friends are also writing to businesses to invite them to sponsor a cornerstone at a cost of £50. Their efforts have got off to an encouraging start because the Bristol and West Building Society has agreed to sponsor the first.
