SOUTH Wilts Cricket Club plays host to the Minor Counties Championship clash between Wiltshire and Oxfordshire this week.
The three-day match gets under way on Sunday, with Wiltshire looking to bounce back from their recent six-wicket defeat against Western Division high-fliers Herefordshire.
Captain of the county side is South Wilts' Russell Rowe who said he is thrilled to be leading the county side out on his home ground.
The 28-year-old told Journal Sport: "It's particularly exciting to be captaining the team at Lower Bemerton, and hopefully we can reproduce some of the good form that South Wilts have been showing recently. It won't be easy against Oxford though."
Wiltshire are currently sixth in the table - two places and 13 points ahead of this week's opponents.
The action starts on Sunday at 12pm and play will continue until 7pm. Monday sees play start an hour earlier, while Tuesday's cricket is scheduled to begin at 10.30am and end at 5.30pm.
