IT sounds quite radical to split the school timetable from three terms a year to six.

But headteachers say the change is hardly worth bothering with and they would have liked to have seen a far more dramatic shake-up.

Parents it seems are also not worried about the move with only about a quarter of those who gave an opinion opposing it. And only 193 parents across the borough bothered to reply when asked their views anyway.

It seems apathy rules.
