CHILDREN from schools in Malmesbsury and Oaksey went back to 1920 to stage a show called Vintage Murder last week.
The 15 children of the Green Door Children's Drama School performed in front of proud mums and dads in Oaksey Hall.
Lorraine Pickering, who started the school in January said the children aged between 9 and 14 from St Joseph's and Oaksey primary schools and Malmesbury comprehensive did remarkably well.
"It went very well indeed," she said. "I was really happy with the way it went. It was the very first performance for some of the children and the audience really enjoyed it."
The children, who have named themselves The Lose Yourself Players, as a nod to their belief that acting is escapism, developed the script, a comedy whodunit, from an initial idea.
Mrs Pickering said the children have shown great potential.
She said: "The kids are showing real talent, its not a stage school, just a group of youngsters who enjoy what they are doing, and whose parents got behind the concept "
