A CAR boot sale at Castle Combe racing circuit will be held on July 20 to raise money for Luckington School.
The Friends of Luckington School hope the sale will provide a boost to their £250,000 campaign to construct a new school hall.
The total stands at more than £7,000 so far, but chair of the school governors, Lesley Bennett, said the work could begin next year if the friends can raise another £6,000.
"We need to raise £15,000 which will trigger various grants to pay for a new school hall and we hope that the crowds will be as generous as they have been in previous years," she said.
The sale will have several hundred stalls. Mrs Bennett said: "We are hoping for good weather and a record crowd which will help us raise another £1,000 towards the total.
Eight local good causes are nominated for the sale, which is open from 8am to 2pm. Visitors are asked to donate 25p each with sellers paying £8 per car and vans £10 to £25.
