Although Phil Churchill, 43, batted well, wickets tumbled to Richmond, 4-13, Howells, 3-21, and Thompson, 3-31, and Bransgore II succumbed for 95. Only Peter Redfern, 56, made headway against Roger Porter, 3-41, as Ellingham III were stopped at 159-9 and Beaulieu won by five wickets mainly due to Paul Jones, 38 not out, and Chris Stokes, 24 not out.
In the Central division Cranborne II progressed to 228-4 through Billy Walters, 70, Carl Foster, 54, John McPherson, 26, and Andy Bundy, 23. Michelmersh and Timsbury III made slow progress against Bundy, 3-21, and were restricted to 110-7 of which Trevor Joy scored 30.
Les Gattrell, 68, and Chris Ward, 33, scored the bulk of Draper II's 142 and although wickets fell to Rob Palmer, 4-26, Rob Holbrook, 38, ensured Centurions' four wicket win.
Owen Horsburgh, 4-28, and Richard Colbourne, 3-15, caused much of the damage as Cadnam III were removed for 110 with only John Till, 28, in form. Damerham lost four wickets before they reached their target with Harvey, 32, and Flower, 23 not out, the main scorers.
Hants League North Division 1
Nomansland 186-1 Eastleigh/Ott 183-8
NOMANSLAND lost the toss and were invited to field on Saturday. The visitors started steadily and were 66-1 in the 19th over. The home side started to pick up wickets with Kev Hayward, 3-48, doing most to put the brake on. The other wickets were shared around between the other five bowlers used, as the visitors closed on 183-8.
Nomansland rattled along after the interval as the opening pair of Hayward and Darren Grayer looked in little trouble. Hayward sailed past his 50 and looked set for a ton before being caught for a fine 86. The opening stand had been worth 156 assisted by a high number of extras. Grayer just managed to complete his half century before Chris Walton, 21 not out, finished the match with three consecutive fours to seal a nine wicket victory with 13 overs to spare.
