THE hunt is on for Chippenham's sexiest specs wearer and for one lucky winner this could mean a luxury summer holiday as well as a chance to become a catwalk model.
Next Thursday Specsavers Opticians on Borough Parade, Chippenham, will be hosting its Look of 2003 competition in search of the most spectacular specs wearer in the town.
Wannabe models can turn up at the store between 6pm and 8.30pm where staff will be on hand to take pictures, provide fashion advice on the best frames and how to look good in specs.
Throughout the evening models, friends and family will have the chance to try out the latest coloured contact lenses, indulge in cheese and wine and pick up some Specsavers goodies.
The competition is open to anyone aged 16 and over who currently wears glasses whether they have prescription lenses or just worn for fashion.
The winner will be announced at 7.45pm and will receive £250 worth of vouchers towards the holiday of their choice plus a pair of prescription sunglasses or designer frames.
All contestants will also be entered for the national Look of 2003 competition where they could be in with a chance to scoop a year's modelling contract with top UK agency ModelPlan.
The overall winner chosen after seven regional finals will also win a two-week holiday in the Caribbean and other goodies. For details see the firm's website at www.specsavers.co.uk
