MALMESBURY will be going football crazy this weekend when 192 teams take part in the town's annual six-a-side tournament.
Budding footballers aged between eight and 15-years-old will be competing for prizes at the Red Bull pitches, off Sherston Road, on Saturday and Sunday.
Teams from across the south-west of the country, including Plymouth, Oxford, Gloucester and Newport in Wales, are attending the event.
Organisers also hope that a delegation from Malmesbury, South Africa, will be in attendance, to present prizes and sample the event with a view to bringing teams over next year.
One of the event co-ordinators and Malmesbury under-10s manager, Paul Robinson, said: "Last year was a great success and if the weather is good this weekend we hope this year will be even better.
"Proceeds from the event will be put back into the club to help with our plans to build a new club house."
Matches will run from 9.30am to 6.30pm on both days and the 24 teams in each age group will be divided up into four leagues as they bid to reach their respective finals.
