A NEW local radio station for Chippenham is getting ready to hit the airwaves.
Moonraker FM will be on the air 24-hours a day and will start broadcasting from Wiltshire College in the centre of the town in October.
Ahead of the big launch later this year radio bosses are putting together a programme, which is expected to be released within weeks.
Ian Pugh, chief executive, said: "Moonraker FM will be a genuinely local radio station, offering news on the hour, together with a mix of the very best music 24 hours a day.
"There cannot be a better way of both informing and bringing together the people of the area, with a music-mix that will be unsurpassed."
Moonraker will be broadcasting on 106.8 FM and is aimed at people between 25 and 85 years old.
