I AM horrified to learn that the SRA are planning to do away with the Bradford on Avon rail link to Waterloo, London.
This service is used by so many people commuting to London the train is always full. My husband and I frequently use this service for pleasure rather than business for outings and to see our families who live in the London area. As pensioners we find it so convenient to take the train from Bradford on Avon direct to the heart of London.
We also use this rail link whenever we use the Eurostar. It has proved a valuable asset for the many tourists visiting the town of Bradford on Avon. This direct link is used by people from the Bath and Bristol area who take advantage of going direct to Waterloo when commuting with the Eurostar. Why do away with a public facility that is excellent, well-used and keeps the motor car off our congested roads? The Bradford on Avon rail link to Waterloo should stay.
W M LADD,
Bradford on Avon.
