NERVOUS patients got an extra shock at a dental surgery in Trowbridge on Friday when they were treated by Snow White and Harry Potter.
Staff at Coleman Dental Practice, Timbrell Street, raised a smile from customers by putting on fancy dress to collect cash for patients abroad.
Over £50 was raised in one day and will go to charity Dentaid, which helps provide dental care in the third world.
The surgery manager has also pledged to help to the cause.
Nurse Helen Martin said: "People who didn't even have problems with their teeth came in to help out.
"But it was quite a shock for a few patients when they saw Harry Potter with a drill."
Other staff dressed up as Calamity Jane and the Pink and Blues Sisters.
The surgery chose Dentaid after hearing about the work it does abroad.
Helen Martin said: "Some of the stories we heard about dental care in Africa were awful and we hope the money raised will go some way to helping out."
