Ref. 25592-5TEACHING staff from Brimble Hill Special School in Park North are putting on nurses' uniforms and going on a pub crawl to help raise cash for their school.
Parents of the 2-11 year-old pupils, who have severe learning difficulties, are sponsoring the 21 teaching assistants who are touring 20 pubs in Swindon town centre this evening, and collecting donations from pub frequenters on the way.
Debbie Shortell said: "We do some sort of charity pub crawl each year. Last year it was Nuns on the Run.
"It should be a really good atmosphere and all the girls are really looking forward to the challenge.
"The money raised will be spent on play equipment for the children.
"At the moment trampolining is really popular," Ms Shortell said.
The school aims to raise at least £500.
