Ref. 25542-5A SINGER and songwriter who has been spotted by the same man who signed David Gray visited Headlands School pupils to say thank-you for all their support.
Mark Joseph had a top 40 hit with his single Get Through without the support of a record company.
Instead, the 22-year-old drummed up support by touring schools all over the country including Headlands.
He returned to the Cricklade Road school to say a big thank you to his fans by presenting pupils with a portable recording studio, which is worth about £400.
He first visited the school at the end of last year, when he held a series of workshops demonstrating song writing, live performances and how to play musical instruments.
The rising star has now released his second single, which is called Fly.
The song is written, performed and produced solely by Mark.
After years of financing himself, he has been sponsored to set up his own label Mark Joseph Records with the help of Christian Tattersfield, the man who signed the big names like David Gray and Damien Rice under the East West Records label.
Mark's debut album Scream will be released on August 18.
