Children, parents, teachers and even the Mayor of Swindon went back to school at the weekend for a day of fun.
Drove Junior School opened up its playground for a summer fete and was filled with cake and sweet stalls, bric-a-brac, toys and a display by Swindon Tarantula and Reptile Society.
A bouncy castle also proved to be a big hit with the youngsters.
Mayor Coun Derek Benfield (Lab, Covingham and Nythe) said: "I enjoy mixing with the children. Fetes are all about the children and raising funds for the school."
Pupil Freddy Gammer, six, from Graham Street, said: "I like the bouncy castle because I can jump quite high. I'd like a balloon animal."
His seven-year-old sister Megan said: "I just want to look around for a while first."
The Green family, comprising mum Ellie, 31, dad Owen, 31, Jake, six, Lucy, five, Emily, three, and Ben, one, had turned out in force for Saturday's fete.
Ellie, of Dudmore Road, Old Walcot, said: "Jake and Lucy both come to the school and didn't want to miss the fete."
Emily had picked some flowers from her garden for her teacher while Jake was eager to play the bash-a-rat game.
Headteacher Nick Capstick said: "The fete used to be held on a Friday evening but this is so much better during Saturday as a lot of parents work night shifts.
"This way it means all the family can join in the fun at the same time."
