Ref. 22068-34LAST December, the Evening Advertise told how Lee Watch of William Street planned to move away from the area after paying more than £1,000 in parking fines.
Although he had bought a residents' parking permit, he said he was forced to park on double yellow lines because there were no spaces.
Because of an expanding family, the 32-year-old pharmaceutical worker has shelved plans to move.
But has sold his car and gets a lift to work from a colleague.
He explained at the time that after a 12-hour shift, he did not want to cruise the area in a search for a space when he had bought a permit to park in his own street.
Mr Watch is not impressed with the council's plan to put more wardens on the streets, believing it will do nothing to solve what he sees as the core problem the lack of spaces.
He said: "Where are you supposed to park when you have 200 houses in William Street and more than one parking permit per household? All the council is after is money."
