Employees at Linpac Environmental, on the Leafield Industrial Estate in Corsham are celebrating after winning one of the UK's top environmental Oscars at the British Plastics Industry Awards.
Linpac won the Best Environmental Initiative trophy for its work on a pilot project undertaken by the London Borough of Camden, which aimed to collect and recycle inner-city litter.
Said John Thurman, general manager of Linpac Environmental: "This award recognised that we were tackling a waste stream that has been extremely difficult to include in recycling initiatives. We had to create a completely new waste collection unit called the Envirobank and build in all the features we thought it would need."
