Box suffered a 49-run defeat at Lydney in Glos/Wilts Division Two.
The visitor's seam bowlers were unable to make any inroads as the Lydney openers John Kerr (46) and Wayne Whitson (64) got the home side off to a good start.
The introduction of spin not only broke the opening partnership on 78, but also stemmed the flow of runs.
Mark Unwin took the spoils with 5-49, but Richard Hulbert deserved better figures than his 1-49.
Andrew Davis also contributed with a direct run out and a good catch in the deep, with Lydney closing at 204-8.
Box faltered in reply to 49 for 5, not helped by two dubious LBW decisions.
They recovered to reach 155-8, thanks to Tony Trotman (61) and Dave Crawford (27).
Seamer James Bishop was the most successful Lydney bowler taking 4-33.
