EMPLOYMENT law firm Peninsula hosted a seminar at the Red House, in Cholderton, last week to help businesses better understand the issues surrounding human resources red tape.
Speaking at the seminar was one of Peninsula's specialists, with experience of advising companies on employment law matters and on avoiding the potentially expensive problems caused by lack of knowledge.
Peninsula's 600 annual seminars cover a range of subjects, from employee rights and family related legislation, to unfair dismissal and how to avoid breaching health and safety contracts.
Caroline Hayes, head of seminar operations at Peninsula, said: "We feel that it is vital for businesses to address issues relating to employment law, health and safety and new legislation head on.
"They can only do this by being made fully aware of what is required of them.
"Companies face the risk of legal action and potentially damaging costs, if they are not complying with regulations, and this was the main reason for us devising the seminar programme," she said.
