IN response to your very interesting article by Ben Fitzgerald (EA July 10) regarding the story (Ambulance running late) I think this may not be such a bad thing given that when you do reach our new state of the art hospital there don't seem to be beds available anyway so why rush the ambulance service to meet government time targets?
If it takes time for the ambulance to arrive then that must have the knock on effect giving the hospital time to empty trolleys of patients? Making hospital statistics on trolley waits look better? So let's all say a big thank you to the ambulance service. I bet Lynn Hill-Tout, the chief executive, does.
